Gerard de Lairesse painting discovered at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery, Bradford

A recent article in the Burlington Magazine brings to light the discovery of a painting by Gerard de Lairesse in the collection of Cartwright Hall Art Gallery in Bradford, where it was previously catalogued as an anonymous French work. 

'The anointing of Solomon' is one of only three paintings by Lairesse known to exist in British public collections.
