A closer look at Pietro Lorenzetti: Films from Ferens Art Gallery

National Gallery Curatorial Trainee Lucy West has recently starred in a series of films, which take a closer look at Pietro Lorenzetti's Christ between Saints Paul and Peter of around 1320. The gold-ground panel painting was acquired by Ferens Art Gallery in 2013 and was a key highlight of the gallery's reopening this year.

Lucy has been undertaking research into the painting and working on its display as part of her traineeship at the Ferens. In these film clips she discusses the acquisition and conservation of the panel, as well as its significance in the context of 14th-century Siena.
