The Bowes Museum acquires outstanding early Netherlandish painting
/The Bowes Museum recently announced that it has secured funding to acquire an outstanding 15th-century painting deemed an important British cultural asset.
'St Luke Drawing the Virgin and Child' is attributed to the workshop of Dieric Bouts the Elder, regarded as one of the leading Netherlandish painters of his time.
